Virtual Portrait Groups and Assets

Open Assets

If you tried to “Import as virtual portrait” from the image generation page and found no group to choose, this is where you create one.

Where to find it

On the Assets page, choose Seedance Assets or Doubao Assets, then open the Virtual Portrait sub-tab.

The view splits in two: portrait groups on the left, and the selected group's assets on the right.

Virtual portrait groups belong to both the current team and the selected provider. Switching teams, or switching between Seedance and Doubao, changes the groups and assets shown.

Creating a group

Select “New Portrait Group” at the top of the left column and enter a name. The description is optional.

When no group exists yet, the left column shows an empty state prompting you to create one.

Uploading assets

Select a group on the left first — only then do “Asset List” and “Upload Asset” appear on the right.

Choose Upload Asset, enter a name, and select a file type currently allowed by the page. Supported asset types may differ by provider, so use the options and guidance in the dialog. The asset appears in the grid on the right after upload.

The currently selected group shows its asset count beneath the group name.

Importing from image generation results

Besides uploading here, you can bring in image generation results directly:

On Image Generation, select a successful task, choose Import as Virtual Portrait, then confirm the provider and target group. See View Results and History.

This is why creating groups first helps — the import step requires an existing group.

Deleting

Virtual portrait group cards and asset cards provide a delete action.

Deleting a group or an asset both prompt for confirmation first, naming what will be deleted.

The current page has no recovery action after deletion completes. Before deleting a portrait group, confirm that its assets are no longer needed or have been backed up. Before deleting an individual asset, confirm that no later video task still needs to reference it.

After a group is deleted the list refreshes; if the deleted group was the selected one, the right column returns to its unselected state.
